The Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer, based in Helena.  

Qualifications for position include a Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance or related area, with CPA preferred.  Successful applicants should have professional experience and/or formal training in fields related to job description, including organizational accounting and budgeting, financial management, and payroll management.

The position is responsible for the overall financial administration, accounting, payroll, inventory management, financial reporting, regulatory compliance and related functions of MFPE.   

MFPE is a statewide union representing thousands of members employed in all aspects of public service and education.  

**Starting salary of $81,598 with scheduled contractual increases.  Excellent benefits including employer-paid health insurance, four weeks paid vacation, pension, and 401(k)plan. Some in-state and out-of-state travel is required.  MFPE is an equal opportunity employer. **
