MTCPA Article Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in contributing an article to the Montana Society of CPAs (MTCPA)! We appreciate members and partners who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with the profession.
By submitting an article, you agree to the following:
- Original Content: Your article should be your own work. If you include statistics, research, quotes, or other published material, please provide appropriate attribution.
- Appropriate Topics: Articles should provide educational or practical value for Montana CPAs. We welcome content such as:
- Tax, audit, accounting, and regulatory updates
- Technology and AI in the accounting profession
- Practice management and firm operations
- Leadership, management, and professional development
- Ethics, risk management, and cybersecurity
- Industry trends and insights
- Personal experiences or lessons learned that may benefit fellow CPAs
Articles should be informative rather than promotional. While you may reference your firm or organization when relevant, the primary purpose of the article should be to educate, inform, or share professional expertise - not to advertise products or services.
- Accuracy: You are responsible for ensuring the information in your article is accurate and current.
- Confidentiality: Please do not include confidential information or personally identifiable information without permission.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI tools may be used to assist with drafting or editing your article. However, the ideas, professional expertise, and final content should be your own, and you are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all information before submission.
- Publication Rights: By submitting your article, you grant MTCPA permission to edit, format, publish, and distribute it through our website, eConnect newsletter, social media, or other MTCPA publications.
- Editorial Review: MTCPA reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, length, style, and formatting, or to decline publication if the content is outside the interests of our membership, primarily promotional, or inconsistent with MTCPA’s mission.
