Butte

This Chapter was formed for the purpose of promoting the interest of Certified Public Accountants, elevating the standard of proficiency, integrity, and character, cultivating the professional cooperation and social interaction between members and cooperation with similar chapters of this state and with state and national organizations of Certified Public Accountants for the advancement of the profession of accountancy.  

Membership

CPA and non-CPA accountant membership is $100.

College Student membership is free of charge (Note: A student qualifies for free membership if (1) he or she is at least a junior in college and is enrolled in or has completed the first section of Intermediate Accounting, OR (2) is a student member of the Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants)

Meetings

There shall be no less than eight meetings of the Chapter within each fiscal year, including summer and winter social events and the initial planning Officers meeting in the fall.  The last meeting held prior to June 30th of each year would constitute the annual meeting.

Scholarships

Each year the Butte Chapter of CPAs awards a scholarship to a business student at Montana Tech.  

The scholarship application and selection process is handled by Montana Tech.
