CPA Needed for Nonprofit Form 990 Filing

A recovery-focused nonprofit organization in Bozeman is seeking a CPA to assist with the preparation and filing of its Form 990 before the November 15 deadline.

The organization is dedicated to supporting its community through recovery initiatives. In 2025, it transitioned one of its established programs into a separate 501(c)(3) organization. As part of launching and transitioning that program, the organization experienced a financial loss during the year.

The organization’s former CPA recently advised that they will be unable to complete the Form 990, so the organization is looking for a CPA who may be available to assist on a relatively short timeline.

• Location: Bozeman, Montana
• Bookkeeping Software: Aplos
• Books: Current, well-maintained, and in excellent condition
• Accounting: Fund accounting is used for grants and individual programs
• Point of Contact: The Executive Director handles the majority of the organization’s bookkeeping and will work directly with the CPA to provide necessary documentation, answer questions, and support completion of the return.
• Deadline: Form 990 filing needed by November 15
