Tax Preparer / Staff Accountant

Qualifications: A Sidney CPA Firm has an opening for a Tax Preparer/Staff Accountant. Employer prefers someone that has past tax preparation experience.  Individual must be proficient in the use of a computer and able to work with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Quick Books Pro.  A qualified applicant must be able to maintain client confidentiality, be personable, organized, able to work under pressure, and able to take initiative to get work done with minimal supervision.

Duties will include: Tax return preparation, financial statement preparation, preparation of client payrolls and payroll reports and bookkeeping; assisting with verification of work performed for clients to insure accuracy and compliance with procedures and policies.

Hours/Days: This is a full-time, permanent job with work hours of 8 AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime during the busy times of year such as tax season.  From April 16th – year end, the office is closed Friday afternoons.

Wages: Pay is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
