Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Job Description Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant reconciles and adjusts various general ledger accounts. Will also perform moderately complex analysis of performance results. The Senior Accountant compiles, consolidates, and analyzes accounting and finance information for the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors bank account for ACH transactions. Initiates and record ACH and wire payments and processes check runs.
• Posts Accounts Payable.
• Prepares journal entries and performs monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and uploads this information to the corporate database.
• Analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
• Manages AFE follow up/fixed asset reconciliations and physical inventories.
• Prepares and distributes the daily sales report.
• Assists with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and reports on variances.
• Prepares monthly commission calculations.
• Processes expense reports.
• Provides reports as needed when requested by leadership and Marmon corporate finance.
• Complies with leverage spend initiatives.
• Assists with the annual internal audit.
• Prepares the monthly metrics report for the Group President.
• Processes OneStream upload and flow forms.
• Generates and distributes 1099s.
• Files monthly and quarterly state tax reports
• Completes other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years in accounting or relevant financial statement preparation experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and individuals, with a willingness to provide hands-on input.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
